We seek to be a Christ-oriented, relationship-based expression of the Body of Christ that relies on God's word and the power of the Holy Spirit to develop faith-filled students for the Father’s glory.

MISSION

Our hope is to make disciples of Jesus among the youth at COSC by:  meeting them where they are, nurturing their faith through encounters with Christ’s love and grace, equipping them to minister according to their spiritual gifts, discipling them toward spiritual maturity in scripture and prayer, and sending them out to share and serve in the Spirit's power.

Get Involved!

Gatherings

Home Group

Every 2nd and 4th Saturday night the junior high and senior high meet separately to eat, hang out and spend an hour in bible study on our theme for the month. This time provides more specific discipleship to meet the students with age specific teaching and engagement.

Youth Church

One Sunday a month JH/SH students meet as church begins at 10am.  This extra time allows for a few major things to happen which we don’t have enough time for regularly in other student settings: worship, prayer, teaching/preaching, and reflection/response.

Quads

Quads are age specific small groups of 2-4 students and one adult. The small group is best for asking harder questions, sharing more personal struggles, encouraging one another in the word and through prayer. Discipleship is key!

Service

Service to the Church

Students are encouraged to find an area of service at church, which could include: Projector/Sound, Sunday School, Mission Sunday & Worship Team.

Service to the City

In the Winter/Spring we have Service Sunday each month out in the community doing various projects with non-profits, cleaning up our neighborhood, prayer walking and organizing our own events.

Service to Nation/World

During high school each student will have the opportunity to participate in one domestic and one international mission trip. These experiences have proven to express love the church worldwide, develop leadership in the next generation, and deeply impact students' relationship with the Lord.

Retreats & Events

What would youth ministry be without retreats, lock-ins, trampoline parks, movie nights, sports events, and crazy-fun games?

We do all that too. :-)

(and these are our awesome leaders!)

Protection

Policy

Christ Our Shepherd Church seeks to provide a safe and secure environment for our children and youth. This Child and Youth Abuse Prevention Policy has been adopted by Christ Our Shepherd Church to help the church create safe environments for children and youth and for those who minister to them.
